It's written in our trash service that if the lid isn't closed and also there is trash outside the bin they will not take the trash.

My trash company has the policy that if the trash does not fit in the can then they won’t pick it up.

The driver shouldn’t have to exit the vehicle to collect trash. There should be a guy riding on the back to collect any extra stuff. Should people pay more? No. Some days your kid has a birthday and you’ll have extra stuff. Or some days trash pickup lands on a holiday, so you have more because it wasn’t picked up earlier in the week. It happens.

Your work is fascinating, and I appreciate and admire your preternatural tolerance of customers' laziness and stupidity, but I can't keep watching these videos. Letting customers get away with it over and over, going out of your way to make their selfish lives easier, is just too frustrating. I keep wanting you to get angry and leave their messes for THEM to clean up, but you never do. Sorry.

Well, there used to be 3 men per truck, and the company has reduced the workforce by 2/3rds in favor of keeping more money for themselves while charging more ever year and providing less service than before. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Sounds like you need to talk to your boss.

I have never seen a truck like that actually used anywhere I've been. Every trash pickup I've seen, there are men riding the back end of the truck, and they empty (mostly) them. They give us trash cans designed to be picked up, with directions saying which end to face the street. They just don't use trucks to pick them up. People do.

Our new trash people are garbage, we had to replace 2 of our cans because the wheels got broken off from how the trash can was dropped back to the ground. Well now we have to replace another because the side is crushed in. Im over it honestly.

I just think the more logical thing would be to talk to them about getting a secondary bin.... could just be a big family in a house designed to house a smaller family... never really know people's situations

Get a Helly Hansen pvc work jumpsuit, they last a pretty long time n wont get anything into tour clothes, i work as a power washer and i normally use one and it makes a super big difference.theyre also easy to wash with a hose
